We want every installation to look flawless. Whether you’re a seasoned fitter or a confident DIYer, here are our top tips to help you get a perfect finish with our Shower Wall Cladding panels:
🔵 1. Prepare the Surface Properly
Make sure the wall is clean, dry, and as flat as possible. You can fit panels over existing tiles, plasterboard, or even directly onto stud walls. Any loose tiles or damaged plaster should be fixed first.
🔵 2. Plan Your Panel Layout
Before starting, dry-fit your panels to plan where joins, trims, and cuts will be needed. Always start from the most visible corner and work outwards.
🔵 3. Use the Right Adhesive
We recommend a high-grab polymer adhesive or solvent-free panel adhesive. Apply vertical beads evenly across the back of the panel to ensure full contact and a secure fit.
🔵 4. Cut Panels Correctly
Use a fine-tooth handsaw, jigsaw, or circular saw. Always cut with the decorative face upwards to avoid chipping. For neat pipe holes, a hole saw attachment works best.
🔵 5. Seal All Edges and Joints
Use silicone sealant at the base and vertical joints (even if using click-lock systems) to guarantee a watertight finish, especially around trays and baths.
🔵 6. Fit Trims for a Professional Finish
Use start trims, internal and external corner trims, and end caps for a crisp, sealed edge. Make sure trims are fully bedded into silicone for maximum waterproofing.
🔵 7. Allow Adhesive to Cure Fully
Leave the panels untouched for at least 24 hours after fitting to let adhesives fully set before exposing them to water.
Pro Tip: Always measure twice and cut once — precision makes all the difference for a smooth, professional installation!
